A Douglass A-20 Havoc crashed near Laredo International Airport in Texas around 1:45 p.m. local time on Sunday, February 16. Only the pilot was on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate. The NSTB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide any updates.

Yeah, can't really blame them, most people get distracted by the actual mishap.

I hear the pilot survived.

That's a silver lining, at least. Perhaps it's my imagination, but it seems like notable aircraft mishaps are occurring more frequently in the last couple of months. Perhaps just the news media being more sensitive to it.

Saw a post by Lewis Air Legends (Rod Lewis, owner) that the pilot was taken to the hospital but expected to be ok.
