Who is CIBO and why can't I get a Big Mac or a Starbucks at KLGA? Something is not right there!

Also, why are there 10 "booths" seating 20 people in a space that could handle 200? Honestly, there were more people standing or sitting on the floor than sitting in seats! WTF?????!!!!!

I dunno. We went to the Outback Bowl a few years ago, couldn't get a Bloomin' Onion, what's up with that?

I got lost in LGA so I didn't have time to look for something to eat.

It would be extremely nice if American would inform you that your not parking at the American terminal but the Delta Terminal. Both have concourse D, so it might lead some people, like ME, to the wrong D Gates. :nono:

My favorite place to eat is the TGI Friday's in Atlanta. They have some tables over looking the main escalators. It provides plenty of beer induced entertainment.

Yhea LGA. While we're at it
a) Parking??? Take a Cab
b) iPads everywhere at the concessions. Drink? iPad. Meal.. iPad. Wanna order a drink from a bartender? Hit the iPad...
Give us a break already. I want a drink, not to figure out some app and deal with other peoples finger germs...

Newark is the same way. :mad2:

We did the same thing last October

Sounds like SFO and SEA - the worst airports in the country.

When I fly, I have a short layover usually. I want a ****ing burger and fries, not a gourmet meal.

If you want a ****ing burger, you'll have to get that at KLAS.

Just a burger, well, you can get that at SFO. Just gotta read the directory (hint: right behind security).

No idea bout SeaTac.

LGA is a third world airport as most of people working for there are from those third worlds.

I think I found a Wendy's once at SFO. It was hidden in the corner somewhere where no one could find it.

SEATAC has Burger King McDonald's and several other familiar fast food venders. The only thing I saw at KLGA was CIBO. I swear the first thing I thought of was an episode of Law & Order.

Just go to Sheltair, much better than sitting in the terminal. :D

There's also a burger place at SFO outside security in the International Terminal near the museum.

LGA just needs to be bulldozed and totally rebuilt. It's a national embarrassment. Thankfully plans for such a move are finally starting to get some traction.

LGA is the pits,Kennedy is much better now that Jet blue rebuilt the terminal, more food choices. LGA needs total overhaul.

Donald Trump declared today that LGA was a third-world airport.... As he called himself a candidate for President...

I am getting confused now - maybe SEA was the one where I found a Wendy's and SFO was not....either way, neither has a lot of options for non-fancy "Here, sit down and have an hour long meal at one of our gourmet restaurants!"

If SEA has a Wendy's then SFO has nothing. And neither had a McDonalds or Burger King unless they were opened in the last 3 weeks...

SFO has 5 or 6 burger joints.

If you only define burgers as Wendy's or McDonalds, you might have a problem. But it's not hard to find a burger at SFO. FAR more than "nothing" is available.

They do have plenty of Starbucks (and Peet's, which is a local equivalent) if you really want a grab'n'gag.

If you are excessively specific, you will have problems just about anywhere.

Can said "burger" be bought and consumed within 5 minutes? If not, its a fancy dancy restaurant, and not what I mean.

Ever ordered food at Starbucks?

Yes, it can be "prepared" and consumed in 5 minutes if you don't mind choking on it.

Frankly, if you're in that much of a hurry, it makes a lot more sense to bring your own food. Even McDonalds can have 30 minute lines.

You probably can get a 5 minute burger at SFO, but I haven't tested that, as nuked burgers are T E R R I B L E and I'd rather eat my luggage.

Yes. Their food is godawful and overpriced (like their coffee). Nothing more delicious in the morning than a microwaved croissant with spinach and goat cheese in it.

Yummy!!

Take said croissant, fill it with egg and sausage, and deep fry it, and I'll eat it all day long.

I'm supposed to bring my own food through security, hope that TSA doesn't confiscate it, then fly to my layover spot, then eat it (cold by now), rather than have a decent layover food option because San Francisco and Seattle are too uptight to recognize that the vast (VAST) majority of people in the US eat Fast Food because it is both delicious and fast? I have yet to hear anyone say "Good god, I'm so glad I have so many different options for fois gras at the airport!"

Jeez, you might want to read the TSA rules.

You have them quite wrong.

And if you have a layover, you aren't in a hurry.

Just because YOU want the same piece of crap you get everywhere doesn't mean everyone does. SFO does have market forces, you know…. And just about every airport is developing sit-down restaurants, not the snack food crap.

So, the market surveys seem to disagree with you, or else all these SFO concessions wouldn't be profitable.

There aren't a whole lot of domestic connections at SFO. Most of them are overseas. Which means a two-hour minimum layover.

Just don't bring a turkey sandwich with mustard.

BTW, went through JFK on the way home. A world of difference! Nice lunch, and plenty of seats at the gate.

On the other hand, I think reading Mike Rowe's CRJ encounter jinxed me. I was on a CRJ from JAX to JFK and had keep reminding myself that it was just a short hop.

SEA has a quickie burger/fish joint at N gates, not sure about the rest of the place. And considering I rolled up to the counter during the preboard and wolfed 2 burgers down before getting on the plane, it's fast enough.

Denver has a McDonald's on Concourse C. I noticed a long line this morning. I don't think you would have gotten your order in five minutes. I noticed that they are building a number of other selections out by the gates. Nice to have a bigger selection.

This sign has been around awhile, but I saw it again the other day and thought of this "La Guardia sucks" thread. And yeah, LGA sucks! :)

Do they still have the burger place in Delta Terminal D? It was pretty good but the price was outrageous even with my dad's crew discount.

Dunno - that's over where the cool kids park. Which is definitely *not* me! ;)

We have this upscale bar called the Wibar - they play house music at high levels pretty much all damned day. It'll be 5 in the morning, and as I'm working my way to the airplane with my crew, it sounds like a damned rave is going on. Now I'm young enough to appreciate a little techno in appropriate situations, but 5am is NOT one of them!

I can see how that can be annoying at 5am. :mad2:
