KX165 Progressively Worse Receive

Hi All, Any ideas as to the cause of a KX165 Nav/Com gradually losing receive sensitivity over about a year? It's been intermittent and now almost never works well enough to use. To give an idea, I can usually hear ATIS well enough when we're about 5 miles out, but no further, even line of sight. My other Nav/Com sharing the same antenna is a bit newer Garmin GNC 300XL and seems to have full strength Receive.

Does this sound like a radio Receive circuit problem or a duplexer/TR Switch issue?

I'd look at coax and connectors first ...

Find someone who has the same voltage KX155/165 and try it first. That’s the easiest thing to try to verify whether it’s the unit itself or the installation
