I have a KN53 that suddenly decided to not show anything on the display. If I listen to it through the audio panel I can hear clear air static from it. I am not sure what frequency it is/was last on to try and hear a VOR signal. Is there some way to reset the stored frequency back to factory default? Something along the lines of 'hold the button for 10 seconds while powering on'?? If that was possible, I think it would be possibly to tune it blindly to check for VOR reception. Any other thoughts or tips are welcome!

No reset. What you might try is shinning a flashlight on the top left corner of the display. There is an auto dimming photo cell there and the display may go bright when it see a very bright light. Try various angles.
