Most on here probably have no idea who she was but she was one bad ass lady. Movie stunt woman, land speed record holder, skydiver, and a very lovely lady. She was quite well known in my youth. They even made a movie about her.

She passed 9 days ago on November 2 at the age of 72. I heard about it for the first time this morning on the tv. Sad.

She went deaf at 5 months old, but it wasn't discovered until she was about 2. A number of records she set during her life still stand today.

She was an Olympic class high diver who got into hang gliding, skydiving, and racing because diving was too tame. She also was Linda Carter’s stunt double on Wonder Woman.
