Kim, since your first post kinda got buried in my Young Eagles thread, I wanted to make sure everyone knew you were here so that they could give you an official welcome.

Guys, Kim is always great about making people feel welcome over on the purple board, and I know that you all will be as gracious here.

Kim and her husband Phil are planning to join us at Gaston’s. Yay!

Kim loaned me her car and let me use their hangar during the aerobatic contest at Kansas City last fall. :)

Here are some pictures of Kim and Phil. Most of them are from the day Kim flew her Birddog to the farm last fall. The one of me and Phil with the Birddog is when I flew up to meet them at Miami County for lunch last month. Oh, and these pictures have been pre-approved for posting. :D

Welcome, Kim! Pull up a chair and have a set a while! Bring Phil, too! Looking forward to meeting you at Gaston's!

I'm thinking it's about time I get over to the Purple board and check it out one of these days!

Thanks, Grant. I've been so busy keeping all the monkeys in the zoo on the purple board I haven't been able to get out much. But I want to get to know some of you blue people before Phil and I venture down to Gaston's.

So, I'm looking forward to popping in here from time to time to take a breather. So good to be in a place where I don't have to be "the mom"......;)

And thank you, Diana, for helping to make me feel welcome here.

Welcome, and thanks for landing at PilotsOfAmerica

Welcome, Kim. Glad to see you here.

Doesn't look like I'll make Gaston's this year, unfortunately, but glad to see you venture over to our little back porch.

Howdy, Kim Welcome to POA I won't give ya the best board in aviation speech cause I know ya have a purple streak but were glad to have ya here.

Thanks for making those very positive comments about the blue board over on the purple board. :)

We were recently talking about spending less time on the internet and here I go and start this thread. :D

No kidding. I've been working on Air Expo marketing materials this AM - so I've been checking in from time to time. But, in a few minutes I'm headed to the airport to fly my airplane a bit.....

I love Spring!!!!!!!!

So... how many other people were pulling up the pictures more to look at the plane then the people???

Welcome Kim, nice plane. : )

I forgot when that is...you'll have to post about it here sometime when you have time.

I love Spring!!!!!!!!
It smells soooooo good outside (lilacs are blooming too) and the birds are singing like crazy! The wild turkeys are drumming out on the runways, the barn swallows are back and were swooping and diving around the tractor on the runways the other day, and the trees (what's left of them) are budding out. The earth has come alive!

Have fun flying!

HA No but I wish I don't have the money to feed its 40 gallon per hour habit. Those however are my nephews in front of the raidal and now they are eating my brother out of house and home so perhaps the radial would be less expensive.

My husband's airplane is a BT-13. It has a Pratt & Whitney 985 engine....not quite as hungry as that one, but almost.

kim does your birddog have a towhook?

It HAD a tow hook. That is what the airplane was used for prior to our purchasing it. Well, aerial advertising. Phil took the tow hook off when we bought it.

Welcome Kim, nice plane. : )

Missa, are you thinking of the same personal Ad I'm thinking of?

"Wanted. Good hearted woman. Must have airplane and money for avgas. To respond, send picture of airplane."

Welcome aboard, Kim!

You wouldn't want me towing you anyway.......SCARY!!!

nah im sure you'd do fine. I towed behind a bird dog once. it was like a rocket ride. great towplane, just overvalued now due to the 'warbird' market.

Hi Kim,

I know you have already discovered us in flashchat. Glad we didn't scare you away. :D

Well I looked today when I was at the hangar. The cable is all there....he just removed the tow hook and still has it. Maybe when I grow up.......
