Yep. I could do multi-variable calculus in college, but don't ask me to do simple arithmetic in my head. Give me a pen and paper, and I'll be ok.

Mmm... Gus' Pretzels... Used to walk over there for lunch every once in a while when I worked at the brewery. Pretzel wrapped hot dog/bratwurst... one of those plus a couple of regular pretzels fills you up fast. I need to get down there for lunch sometime soon.

They start with sight words then just start them on a series of books that all have a level of difficulty that increases.

Once they matter books in level a category, they go on to b and so on.

I dreamt feel like they need more focus on math. I don't know anyone that can't read. Probably 80 percent of the people I know will claim they suck at math.

I think we need to focus on math a bit more. But then I'm not an educator

My dad taught me to read with Charles Addams cartoon collections...
