Bro do you even lift
for those familiar with Asheville, I see there is a north ramp/FBO and south ramp/FBO. if you were just going to meet someone there for about 30 minutes, you know, for some hanky panky, which one do you recommend and why? I guess I'm looking more for what's and easier 'in/out' for her as far as parking and realizing she's in the right spot.

ok, so there won't be any hanky panky goin on, but still looking for which fbo is easier to meet someone at when it's both of our first times.......at AVL.

Flying to get some a**, the best kind of flying. The sexual innuendos are high with this one. Love it.

The south ramp is a flight school and some other garbage if I remember. The actual FBO(Landmark) is on the north ramp. Between D1 and D2.

Tha's right - on both accounts.

so, if she wants the D, tell her to meet me at D. got it!

Note: if landing to the north (32?33? I forget), don't bother landing near the approach end. Did that. Y first time, exited and had a pleasant 6000' taxi. Since then, I just land really long, say 3000-4000 down the runway.

Obviously if landing to the south, make a normal landing near the numbers.

Hangars are at the south, then the Fire Dept, then nothing, more hangars and finally at the end is the FBO.

lol I actually noticed that! is there proper terminology to request a long landing, maybe 'request midfield touchdown' or something?

Don't think you need to even request that do you??. I've been told to land long a couple times, but that was at the request of the tower controller at a class B to get me off the runway quicker. I doubt there is anything wrong with just landing long.

Well, that is almost enough time for foreplay. :D

If you're planning a booty call in Asheville just make sure she shaves and baths before you show up. Nothing worse than the smell of patchouli oil and old Birkenstocks on a lass.

No need to request it. They'll be impress by the size of your...roll-out...

Asheville = Boulder. Duly noted. :)

in W. NC, we call them "granolas." Kind of misplaced Kalifornians, those that aren't fruits or nuts are flakes. Many think of Asheville as an eastern version of Albuquerque.

Guess I need to plan more than a quick turn in Asheville next time!

Tell the tower you intend to land long and park at fbo(x) as a courtesy for their spacing of anyone following.

Then park the laundry basket out of view of the potential new laundry folder!

KAVL, my favorite airport!
Though I do agree that it is best to stay away from the local chicks.
Let us know wacha catch! (pun kinda intended :D )

Don't get me wrong, its a fun place and plenty of good microbreweries, so an overnight is definitely in order. It's just funny how the crunchies contrast with the opulence of destinations like the Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn.
