As the title suggests, I just passed my Cogscreen/Psych evaluation . I went into this extremely stressed as Ive always wanted to be a pilot, not realizing that ADHD was a disqualifying disorder. For anyone going into this, you can do it, It really wasn't as hard as a lot of people make it seem. Before going into the exam, I had read pretty much every single forum/reddit post I could find about this subject. I had a pretty good idea of what I was going into because of this (don't tell your neuropsychologist that you prepped/ looked anything up about it, it's a secret for some reason). I used Elevate and Lumosity to train, I really have no idea if it helped, might've given me a little extra confidence but I still recommend it. The only test I specifically studied for was the digit span, funny enough, this was one of the only ones I didn't do super well on. The most important thing in my opinion to be prepared is get a good night sleep, stay off your phone before bed, and eat a good breakfast. I was honestly surprised at how well I did, above average in the majority of subjects, except math, that tripped me up pretty bad.

Secondly, the stylus they gave me sucked. It quit working for about 10 seconds on one of the dual task ones and made me think I had failed, luckily I didn't. I did make them aware of this and they assured me that they'd let me retake it if I did fail for that reason. The cog screen was the test that worried me the most but it was honestly one of the easier ones, took about an hour, I was sweating the entire time lol.

Also, my diagnosis was 4 months ago so don't be worried if yours was recent, it doesn't matter. Luckily in my case, my diagnosis was mild and my psychologist didn't recommend meds. I don't believe meds are an issue, just be off of them 90 days before you do the evaluation

The neuropsychologist said she could submit my packet directly to my RFS so that should bring the wait time down to just a couple months.
If any of you have any specific questions let me know!

Edit: This post is a big deal for me, Ive been telling myself for the last 2 months that the second I pass the testing, Im posting about it so that someone else may benefit from it.
