JPI EDM-900 firmware etc

Has anybody ever done a firmware upgrade on this instrument... Or perhaps an engine change? I am interested in the procedure.

Yes, my shop sent it back to JPI (it required a hardware upgrade to work with the new firmware). I did have some problems when I got it back, the configuration needed to be modified.

I recently changed my engine and asked JPI if I could zero out the hobbs. Some of them, yes, older units, had to send back to JPI.
Mine was older, so I didn't do anything.

I have done several on my JPI 830 several times. You do want to record all your current settings in case something goes wrong.

No need,it does it for you when you download logs, look for settings.txt file.
