Jets parked in the desert

I used to stop at ROW for fuel on a regular basis. Even 6 years ago the collection of mothballed planes was worth the stop. Everything from DC-6 on up... 707, DC-8, 727, DC-9, DC-10, 747, 757, 767, L-10's, and a collection of smaller commuter airplanes.

wow, straight from the Boeing factory to mothballs...that's gotta hurt.
I think I will offer my services to fly them regularily, that will help keep them in serviceable shape. Hm, 200 planes - that's about a 4day workweek; perfect!

After seeing them used as wating seats at Pilot Pete's, I want 2-3-4 sections of first class seats for my home theater.

Soembody stop by with a wrench for me?

Are they afraid to say the name of the airport or something? "Southeast of Phoenix."

Hmmm....could that possibly be Marana?

I was guessing either Pinal or Tuscon. I havn't had a chance to watch the video, though. I loved Pinal, that's a cool little airport.

That would be my guess. Evergreen has been there for years, back to the CIA days. You couldn't walk to their side of the field without security stopping you.

"Notoriously cyclical airline industry."
With so many high paying jobs being shipped overseas, I don't know who is going to be buying airline tickets anytime soon.

I expect so. I landed there once, and they had quite a collection. One of the 747s that they carry space shuttles on was there (probably for maintenance).
