Is there such a device?

not the phone
Samsung - SGH-1747
whoops.... yes it does, I just found it when I removed the Otter Box...now I have it figured out.
mini pin the phone to the radio, and the charger chord to the 12volt plug in the jeep.

thanks all..

with just the two of us the jeep works great, It tows behind the motorhome with out a lot of added gear. it is easier to get in and out than a lower car. 131,000 without any major repairs. with the rear seat removed it will haul most every thing we need, plus it tows both of our trailers when our stuff won't fit. very practical car for us.---millage-----not so great.

What year?

My issue was the constant expensive maintenance. Mine was a 2000 Cherokee.

That'll do it. Just remember to turn the volume on the phone up about halfway or a little higher. The input on the Jeep is expecting a constant volume source.

And for cables. Go Monoprice. When I saw Staples I about gagged. I didn't click on the link but their usual markup is over 100%, if not 200%.

They sell longer ones if 3' won't reach wherever you're going to put the phone.

It'll get addictive. And then you'll want that new head unit and touch screen controls on the dash... hehe...

Okay it's a Jeep. Maybe not. Whatever is in the dash is going to get ripped off anyway, so maybe just a cheapie Kenwood that looks old school but actually has good sound. :)

Have fun.

Actually, those audio cables are pretty inexpensive even in local stores. I've seen about $5 apiece for audio cables up to 10 ft. Same price for a AC receptacle (fka cigarette lighter plug).
