Is there something related to aviation in all 50 states?

From the article "he purchased $250,000 in life insurance at a coin operated vending machine at the Kansas City airport, as well as stopping at a hardware store and buying dynamite. "
250k life insurance policies from a vending machine and dynamite available at hardware stores that was a different time.

Different time, indeed. Interestingly, the FBI field agent assigned to the Flight 11 case was Mark Felt, who later became "Deep Throat" in the Watergate investigation.

Thanks for all the great responses... keep 'em coming!

I would love to be PIC in all 50 states, however, I don't think this is a financially feasible goal for me! Maybe someday when I win the lottery.:rofl::rofl:

Also, the Iowa Aviation Museum is in Greenfield, IA.

UT-Hill AFB, Aerospace Museum. Been there about 50 times and it is worth it IMO.

KS: To be included with the previously posted. Combat Air Museum in Topeka houses all kinds of cool airplanes. http://www.combatairmuseum.org/

MO: Airline History Museum in Kansas City. Home of a DC-3, Martin 404 and a Lockheed Super Constellation. And soon to also be the home of a L1011. Lots of good old TWA goodies in the actual museum. http://www.airlinehistorymuseum.com/

I'll assume this goal will be easier if the points of interest are at airports, so here's a few more public-use airports with museums on-site:

California:

- The incredible museum at Chino Airport (there's also a good diner there).

Seriously: This museum is frikkin' incredible! Mostly because of the airworthy treasures they have there. Be sure to take the tour of the resto and storage hangars!.

- Didn't visit this one when I was there, but there's a little museum at Brown Muni in San Diego. Can't find a website for it.

- North Carolina: Neat little museum with its own grass strip, right next door to 0A7:

- NJ: Not exactly a museum, but if you can't make it to the other museums in NJ mentioned above, there's a Connie parked at 4N1:

-And down south, there's a fantastic museum at Wildwood:

CT- New England Air Museum
Pratt & Whitney engines / Manuf.
Sikorsky Helecopters / Manuf.

 The gentleman from PA shames the CO constituency for missing those obvious and excellent choices.

Thanks, Anthony!

An honorary Coloradon, as my blood is in that soil when I was trying to fix my lawnmower and jabbed myself with a screwdriver when I lived there.

Delaware has Dover Air Force Base, which, at least in the past, had a nice little museum. Also, there used to be a few old MIG's sitting at GED in Georgetown, and there's a C-47 sitting at KILG near Wilmington. And, if you fly along the coastline of the Delaware Bay down to about Ocean City, you'll see watchtowers and artillery emplacements left over from WWII - Delaware Bay was a big shipping lane then, and there were concerns over submarines sneaking up there.
