This one is pretty liberal with cussing.

vnrpilots.com/forums

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Motorcycle forum of your choice. Probably get some porn while you're at it.

+1 on the Moto forums. I was a member of 2 different Honda forums and they both had sections where anything was allowed.

thanks

Hell, I golf. I got you all beat.

I am on the TriumphRAT board and they do not allow that at all. They really run a tight ship. Although the girls on bikes threads can be a little racey, and I don't mean high speed.

Is the Orange Board for pilots no more? I tried to go there and could not get in. That place was always very wild.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Sure there is. I've seen threads on Bellanca Vikings right here on this board.

Not to mention various diesel manufacturers whose names you find distasteful.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Seriously?

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

I thought the board was to share info about flying and fun.But I can understand how some people think they can get their point across better with a few well placed expletives.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

BTW, at VNRpilots.com/forums the Admin and Mods will never 'out' any member. It's a ban-able offense.

lol

A little bit. Yeah.

I'd settle for a simple apology. Instead all I get is a single PM stating 'anyone could have figured it out based on your posts'.

So it's my fault management outed me. The fact it could be done gives PoA management the mandate that it should be done.

What do you mean "outed" ? If you want to be anonymous I'd suggest not writing posts on the Internet. Personally I think real names should be required, that is one of the best features of beechtalk.

Otoh if you are talking about homosexual outing, there are probably non-aviation boards for that.

This went down in the way that you present only in your head and you refuse to accept the reality that someone had no idea that your name was a secret since we're a community of friends and had heard someone else refer to you using your name so they used it as well.

Most people normally don't get so damn upset simply because someone refers to them using their name.

But instead, ignore the reality, and continue to believe that we intentionally wronged you by using our secret powers given to us by the almighty NSA.

Well, 'in my head' post #5 of this thread dropped my name. That was August 29th, 2012. If you see an earlier posting link to it and I'll eat crow and apologize to you.

BTW, post #17 of that same thread agreed with me that outing me was wrong so I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I'm not asking for a settlement here, just an apology.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

You know, Cameron, if you stopped pointing it out there would be fewer references searchable by Google.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

I'm fine with who I am. It's a principle I'm arguing here and I'm asking for a pretty simple thing.

Cameron

If PoA management did to everyone what they did to me (post everyone's real name) I'd imagine there would be some angst.

So, in that thread when you said:
It's okay about the name thing
That was not true? You still seem to want something over a year later.

Hi Ted.

I'm Ed, a quick search will even turn up my phone number.

This is where you fail to use your brain. Stop. Listen. Think for a second.

We're a tight community where most of us know each other and we tend to refer to each other using first names. Not abnormal, you know?

So Greg knew your first name because it had came up in other discussions. Generally people don't get upset when you call them by their name.

The oh-so-evil-post Cameron is always referring to is:
Greg Bockelman said:
If it were me, I think I would have landed with it and done the over weight inspection. Like Cameron said, it is a rounding error and the inspection isn't a big deal.

2,000 pounds is almost 300 gallons. In this penny pinching age, wasting nearly $750 in fuel is not a wise thing.
That wasn't the Management Council working to destroy you or to leak some super-secret identity. It was a discussion, where a member, agreed with you, supported what you said and referred to you by your name.

Okay, there's 11,558 members as of today and you're all 'good friends' in a tight community on first name basis.

Could you please post a list of everyone's name or is that special to me?

By the way, I didn't miss the fact that in this case the member of management outing me was agreeing with my post. There have been many times since that he's disagreed with me and that's really beside the point.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Why is it so hard to say, 'sorry'?

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Wow dude. Give it up already. You'll live a happier life if you learn to not hold a grudge over something so innocuous.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Why do I get the feeling that those who don't want their real names known will never go to Fly-ins or meetups of any sort?

Lol, okay 'tangopapa'. You're clearly on the moral high ground here...not.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

What would be the difference in introducing yourself then? I'm not trying to kick a dead horse, just making a point. If it makes you feel better though, I can't remember half these people until they say their nick names anyways!

Good idea 'Tristar'.

Just making a point too.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Going forward, maybe only people who don't have an anonymous user ID should climb up on their horse and condem me for having a non-real name user name. And then I'll simply point out that was your choice and we can all move on.

To have a made up name and criticise me for the same seems silly.

I can't believe this is still going on. But unlike most, who think Captain just can't get over it, I actually think Captain has a point and just wants the truth and an apology, which Greg kind of did by just saying "I didn't realize it was a secret.

Instead, mostly due to personal feelings, neither side wants to back down on this. The facts as I see them, Captain, as is his right, opts not to use his real name. His name had not been used prior to that thread. Greg, as management, can see his real name, and not realizing Captain hasn't put it out there, uses it by accident, not an evil plot. Greg has been largely silent. Jesse continues to use the "we could have just googled you" defense. And here we are, still talking about it.

Here is what I would like to see answered so we can just move on. I don't have a dog in the fight.

1. Was is name used prior?
2. Did Greg use his name based on Management Council access or did he in fact Google him.
3. Prove by giving search terms that it is so easy to figure out his real name by the info he had provided prior. (Jerk and reverse high speed don't count)
4. Just apologize and let it go.

I agree with all of this except I don't see why 'high speed' shouldn't count. That was prior wasn't it?

1. Was is name used prior?
No clue
2. Did Greg use his name based on Management Council access or did he in fact Google him.
Greg used it because either myself or someone else mentioned his name in a private discussion that was not management council related. His name was located via a minute or two of googling.

Captain came into our community stirring up all kinds of noise. Lots of drama if you remember back then. Whenever a brand new member comes in swinging you can count on the fact that I'm going to do a few google searches to determine if the person is real or a troll.

In this case another member, not on the management council, initially identified him (because he was curious to know if he was a troll or not) and told me. I probably dropped the name Cameron in front of Greg at one point. Greg had no clue his name was a "secret". Which it never was in the first place.
3. Prove by giving search terms that it is so easy to figure out his real name by the info he had provided prior. (Jerk and reverse high speed don't count)
This was proven. I walked him through it precisely. It took one google search based on what he wrote on PoA and two clicks to take yourself to Captain's website with his name and all kinds of information about him. He has since removed that website. Captain acknowledged how I told him his name was found. There is also nothing in our RoC that says one cannot refer to someone by their first name.
4. Just apologize and let it go.
There is nothing to apologize for. It was his first name. He puts his first name all over the internet. Instead he's just more interested in making us look bad, which he continues to fail to do.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

Captain, with your permission, I will post how your name was found, the exact private message exchange we had regarding this long ago.

Honestly, I have no interest in making you or PoA management, past or present, look bad. It makes me feel bad that you think that. I honestly feel slighted on this and the fact that I keep bringing it up and keep getting snubbed makes it worse.

I'm not sure what site you found with my name on it and I assure you I didn't take it down to remove proof. What site was it? Nevermind...PM me. I have a few sites that I wouldn't want published here.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

In the spirit of the original intent of this thread, I just wish:

1. I could remember who the f*ck I am.

2. That Cameron would shut the f*ck up.

It's getting really old, dude, especially since at one time you said that you were okay with it.

Grow a d*ck.

Re: Is there a Pilots message board out there where expletives and profanity are acce

'at one time' I was trying to play it off. That lasted a day or so. I was still in shock management outed me and didn't really know the next move. The more I thought about it the more ticked I got.

My di*k is doing just fine. Thanks for your concern.
