Is a Cessna Mandatory Service Bulletin on the Horizon

Yep,

Just be careful about the language of the return to service. Don't say that you did the annual IAW the Cessna manual if that checklist requires a SB you didn't do.

Personally I don't like the new Cessna manuals because they pulled out the 100hr/annual checklist. The only plane that I use 43 d on is a 172SP G1000. However I also do pull out the inspections recommended for yearly inspection and do them as well.

Another twist ... that bit a C340 owner who required repairs while enroute. He had
work done by a Repair Station. Unknown to him at the time: their Repair Station/mx certificate required completing all Service Bulletins, regardless of whether the aircraft
was operated under Part 91, 135 or 121.

What could've been optional, became mandatory.

Thats scary. It dosnt say much about the renter pilots and instructors if they are flying a plane in that condition, or they are not doing a proper pre flight.

It's kinda amazing really, the securing curly dealie just hanging there on all 3 pins and from the logs it's likely been that way since 05. That was just the beginning.
