That was my first thought when I saw that track too. Just don't pull my FA tracks from my flights. I like to tell people ATC was just giving me a lot of vectors. :)

I've used that excuse before when I've been tracked on flight following.

My experience was similar. I had a cross country after my instrument check and climbed into a cloud deck for the first part of my trip. Great feeling, isn't it?
