Some will, no doubt, make appointments with their intimate surgeons on learning that, of the three main smartphone types, only the typical iPhone user is, well, feminine. Typical iPhone users apparently not only see themselves as girls, but are seen by those beholden to other smartphones as girls too.

I really wouldn't care what sex they are or even if they're good looking if they'd get off the phone and stop trying to murder me on the freeway!

Scott, that cartoon is hysterical. Sending it to my brother, an HTC Incredible disciple.
Steingar, +1 for your comment. Whenever I get on a motorcycle now, I feel like a considerable percentage of the motorist population is playing Russian Text Roulette with my life at stake.

I notice that most of the people (where I live anyway) that I see playing with phones on the highway are also the kind of people who tend to drive little "Honda-boxes" that weigh about 17 pounds and will crumple nicely in a collision.

Hence, I drive (and always shall) as much truck as I can afford gas for. Let 'em joust with me, and we'll see who wins...

Don't think for an instant that it will stop them from trying though. This summer half a mile into Colorado on a major downhill I had a squishable blast around and jump in front of me with feet to spare and slam on the brakes. 1500lb shoebox vs 10,000 pounds of battering ram grade steel. That nutjob was inches from certain death. He got to find out what driving in the dirt on the side of the road was like. :loco:

I have never really correlated vehicular equipment to cellphone driving. It seems that I most see a biological equipment correlation.

I'm seriously considering putting air horns on the truck for just that situation.

There are some good reasons why I ride one of the fastest motorcycles ever made. The roads are even worse than before, if that can be believed. Sometimes I am amazed they haven't gotten me yet.

Well, I think you're seeing more "Honda-boxes" doing this simply because you can see them easier. I can tell you from driving a REAL truck (where I sit quite a bit higher than you do) that the problem is just as bad in SUV's and pickups as it is in "Honda-boxes" if not worse.

The really stupid thing is that now that many states have outlawed texting while driving, people are trying to hide it (instead of stop, duh) so they are taking their eyes much further from the road - And there has been an INCREASE in texting-while-driving accidents in the states that have outlawed it.

You can't legislate common sense.

Idiots are amazingly egalitarian in their choice of vehicle. Please don't ask me how I know.
