iPad2 with Garmin Pilot

I tried to setup an iPad2 with a Dual XGPS150A and run Garmin Pilot. The antenna pairs just fine with the tablet, and the Dual GPS tool accurately functions. Pilot, however, pays no attention to the antenna, and I get an error that I'm not connected to a GPS.

Any suggestions on getting Pilot to operate with this setup?

Garmin Pilot adsb interface only works with Garmin products, ie GDL39

Or Garmin GLO for simple GPS. I think Bad Elf works as well but haven't used one.

So, in theory, mine ought to work also, but perhaps it's dependent on the tablet. Which tablet are you using (3G-enabled?)?
