So, a local store is offering $40 off coupon for next grocery trip with purchase of iPad mini.

Rumors on the net are goign from no retina and release in Oct to retina display and no release until 2014. Uggghhh!!!

My iPad 3 is just too ig for the cockpit and my leg strap.

Apple secrecy sucks!

Picked up the new Nexus 7 today...more svelte than the mini with better-than-Retina display...for much less than a mini! :D

Was thinking about that but I would have to subscribe to another program. Got Foreflight a month or two ago.

I know the new Nexus is better. I just figured staying in the Apple Eco system might be the lesser of two evils, but it may not be either.

I hear you...I have both and see the strengths and weaknesses of both. You can't go wrong with either, even the current mini.

I posted the first image in another thread awhile ago. The second is an update from last week coming home from OSH! We didn't get lost. :D

New Nexus 7 definitely stole the Mini's thunder. The new Mini is going to have to up the ante more than a retina display. IOS still has the best aviation software though...
