If that sale falls through, let me know. I might be interested.

ok Will do. I have another guy who has also requested this.

The guy who said he would take it asked for my paypal, sent a $50 deposit and an email stating he would send the rest within 48 hours. I believe we have just passed that time frame and I have not heard from him. Maybe give him til tomorrow and then send him an email if I still have not heard from him by then.

If the people you have interested don't end up wanting it I will take it , and what kind of deal is a deposit ? I might be wrong but if your on here you more then likely own a plane or have interest in one so $300 shouldn't be something you need to make a deposit in - just pay for it and be done right ?

I agree with your sentiment here. We didn't discuss it beforehand; I was surprised to see it. Seemed strange for something as inexpensive as this.

2pm yesterday was 48 hours after he sent the $50 saying he would send the rest within 48 hours. I have not heard back from him. Sending email to him now...

Slight thread hijack here... Is there a way for sellers to get scammed in this way? Perhaps the buyer sends a deposit that gets recinded somehow? Perhaps the buyer has a way to get account info from the seller?

I agree this sounds kinda fishy. Why make a deposit on a $300 item?

Good question. I don't know but welcome answers to this question if anyone does know. Makes me debate if refund of deposit should be considered if/when requested.

Having problems selling the food stamps for cash? ;)

There are a number of people who live paycheck to paycheck. The question is if you are in that category, should you even being thinking about buying this?

Perhaps he forgot? The only other option I can think of that makes sense is that he's broke.

Just received paypal for balance due. No explanation for delay included.

So it is sold. Sorry to those who had interest.

Around here it's deer rifles. The local hardware store is also a high volume gun store and the owner is a friend. He tells stories of the local honyocks who come in every November and buy a new gun...stating "well, I guess I'm going to miss this month's rent/house payment." And they're not kidding.

Then, in mid-January, they sell the gun back to the store for about 50 cents on the dollar.

The next year they do it again. Occasionally buying the same gun again at nearly the same price as new...the owner just saves it for them.

I've gotten a few good deals on like new guns early in the year. :goofy:
