iPad + Foreflight?

I understand what your saying - but not everyone has the time to do ground school + full time job as an engineer + flying + studying for practical + everything else that goes along with it. I am not saying I couldn't have done it that way, but it would have been quite a bit tougher to squeeze it all in. Of course there is stuff that will be understood better once I am flying, but I think I have retained the information I have learned quite well. Reading the PHAK and AIM goes over a lot of the same stuff - so some of this material I have read 3 times.

Anyways, I think things will be just fine - I guess sometimes it is best to leave things off of the online forum and just do it.

There are many things in life where a shortcut can save you time and energy. In aviation there are no short cuts. You love airplanes and flying, right? Why not take your time and love every second of it? You're most certainly not the only guy who ever learned to fly that had a job, too. :wink2: So, slow down, squeeze it all in, and make room to learn the things that will keep you alive and upright, because you're certainly not the only guy who rushed through training, either. (Always look outside for traffic!) A flight school syllabus exists for many reasons, like all written things in aviation: because some time, somewhere, someone screwed up. Don't be the basis of new rules, just learn all of the existing ones. You're going to be great, why the rush? There's no special plastic for the guys that get their tickets in 40.0 hours.

FFS--they're right on the flight plan form....unless your CFI didn't have you file a flight plan for your XC... Z
