iOS9.1

I think they fixed the iCloud transfer issue that some folks were having. It's a very small and quick install.

When updating iOS, be careful. If it fails during the update process, you will be stuck factory resetting your phone and losing all your data on it.

1. Always do a full backup before you update (check it to confirm that it was successful)
2. It is best to update via connecting directly to iTunes as the over-the-air (OTA) method isn't very stable and has a higher chance of failing

Good luck and say hello to Siri for me.

I have several iOS devices and keep them all up to date. I've never had a problem going over the air. Anyway, I'm sure there's a chance of trouble, but I've never had one in several years of iOS usage.

I have the automatic cloud backup. I went to 9.01 with no issues, although I wasn't having any with 9.0, either (iPhone 6).

I also went to 9.01 with no issues but I didn't have any with 9.0.

I sat in Starbucks and had a latte while I waited for the phone and iPad to update.

Most of the time, it goes through without a hiccup. However, that is not always the case and I get calls from people shortly after every new OS release.

Think I'll wait a little while longer ,before doing the update.

Only hiccup in 9.0 on Karen's iPhone was a counter that showed up in the field where she wanted to compose a message, and that could not be dismissed.

Googling the problem showed it was not a rare occurrence, and gave a workaround fix by toggling an option on then off under Settings>Messages.

I have a 64 gb air 2 and 16 gb 3rd gen iPad, and use Garmin pilot.

On the 16 gb iPad, I updated GP to the iOS 9 version and didn't see any problems. Few days later went ahead and loaded iOS 9.0.1. GP still appears to work ok, but other apps are slow or crash.

Sitting tight on the air 2 for now.

My iPhone 4 is still on iOS 5 and probably will always be.

I noticed one of the fixes was it fixes alarms that sometimes wouldnt play! That's always my biggest fear in a new iOS update is that my alarms won't play and I'll miss a showtime. so as soon as I saw 9.0.1 has a fix for alarms it got an instant download.

Yeah, that scared the crap out of me, too, as I rely on that alarm while on a trip. :hairraise:
