It's "not your grandma's phone book" and appears to use voter registration and driver's license info along with a bunch of statistics to have info on you. I looked myself up and found it rather inaccurate. Looking me up at my home, it demeans my job even worse than most pilots (Clerical/Social Worker - hmm maybe they know my job better than I do), and says my home is worth $600-800,000 (were that the case, I'd sell it and buy that 421 I've been dreaming of). Got my education wrong but length of residence correct.

Interestingly, it also has my previous address in NY, and has more accurate info there, but I don't live there anymore. It has my mom's info all kind of wrong.

Anyway, I don't think it really matters, but it was interesting to see. If y'all want to get yourselves removed, supposedly you can.

:rofl::rofl: I'm amazed that I have survived 13 winters in a house without central heat or a fireplace (and never even knew it).:rofl::rofl:

More wrong than accurate on that site...

I'm a good looking guy. And I live with my parents. And I like reading. And I own a home, which I've lived at for 14 years.

Crazy enough, I'm not interested in politics and I care about healthy living. I have children and I donate to causes.

Seriously though, here's what they got right:
I am in my mid 20s (mid to late I guess)
I'm white
I'm in a relationship
I am a male sagittarius
I live in a middle class neighborhood

Facebook, anyone?

What I'd like to see is a site like that, with accurate information, and without an opt-out option. That would help teach the morons in our country that EVERYTHING you do can be tracked, so be smart about it.

i guess it pays to not have a land line and not be a registered voter.

Yeah, I found the number of things wrong on it very humorous, especially how wrong they were. I thought I'd share for informational purposes. :)

Weird enough, the home I live in with my parents is worth $1,000,000+ to my father, but is of unknown value to me.

Good for my dad, he's really doing well in that million dollar home

They can't find me.

Wow...no useful information there...more wrong than right and I showed up twice...once as an African American and single, once as a married white ...

Wow.

They think my house is worth over a mil. Nice.

False, too.

They have the little "credit" arrow pointed low, which is amusing, since (as far as I know) the in formation which goes into that is not public anyway. I wonder idly whether that is just a lure to make you sign up for the paid info to see what and why...

My guess is that it's a static GIF -- the same image for everybody.

I'm in my late 80s.

Who would a thunk it!

Bingo.

Here is what I liked

Home Description: Single Family House, built in 1900
Fireplace: No
Central Heating: No
Central Air: No
Swimming Pool: unknown
Est. Home Value: $1M+

No heat or AC but worth over $1M.

Yeah, it's got me still living with my parents. Vast majority of the information is wrong aside from the names of people living at the house.

It says I own a $1m dollar home in a 'below average' neighborhood... I tend to think that in the town it thinks I live in, if you were in a 1M home, it would be in the well above average neighborhood.

It couldn't find Lawreston.) But then, living up here on the hill and amidst the trees, some of my friends are known to have said, "Where is it you live?")

There are a bunch of "Jerry Crute" listings around the USA; and I punched-in Her Majesty(former wife)'s name. It had the Florida address correct, and her age. I guess my limited vision precluded me from being aware of her African-American status. Oh, and she's married(which she isn't). Interesting stuff!

They can't find me. Hubby is in there, but married to someone else.

"We could not locate 'Ed Frederick, Caleonia, MI'.
Are you sure you spelled the person's name correctly?"

If only I could mount the planet...

Didn't have me with my middle name and what came up without my middle name ain't me. There is another site out there that does addresses that is much more accurate as it had myself and wife and the last couple of places we lived.

Every home is $1M+.

Every credit is lowish.

I checked my sister-in-law, whose home is worth (on a good day) eighty grand. $1M+

Just a click-through troll site.

OMG I'M MARRIED!!!

And my house is worth more than $1 million. Cool.

Another interesting site... and PoA posts get skimmed for it.

"Are my eyes really brown?"

Site says my hobbies include sports and home decorating. I mean, REALLY....

That thing is so wrong...

And it has somebody living at our house to whom we do get mail addressed, but I have no idea who she is. Never have. What a waste of connect time.

I have a land line and I am a registered voter. This site has no hint of my existence.

My wife has a very unusual name and it did not find her, either. It did find her under her maiden name, sort of. Her middle initial was wrong, and it had her living in the wrong city. Interestingly enough, the city is where her son and wife now live. It has her age wrong by a decade.

Spokeo is just unreliable, IMHO.

I live in a PO Box. Granted that my house is smaller than anyone elses on this board however it's still bigger than a po box.

Apparently I enjoy shopping too. I have no clue where they got that from. The street bum downtown with the shopping cart has more posessions than I do. I despise going to the grocery store and gas station to the point that all store runs more closely resemble mercenary in and out attack missions than lingering around drooling over useless junk fluff.
