Inflight Misfire

Ryan

Dan is referring to 2 different types of condensers.

One is external of the mag.

Did you ever say types mags / harness?

Sounds right. The 500-hour thing is an internal inspection
An overhaul replaces the bearings and dustributor and some other stuff. For a Slick nit's almost as costly as a new mag.

I'm retired. Occasional work might be ok. But an intermittent thing like is can be really hard to find if it won't just die and stay dead so one can figure it out. I'm happy to leave that frustration to your mechanic:)
You’ve definitely got a knack for it! Advice always appreciated!

Slicks, not sure what harnesses, right off.

After re-reading #51,56 &57 another long shot comes to mind.

On a Cherokee fuel leaves the Tank and is sucked to the Pump.

Hence; any loose connection or leak aft of the Firewall would introduce air

into the system and reduce fuel flow.

Is it possible this would cause a momentary drop in fuel flow and also

allow the Carb Float Level fall?

It seems a nose high attitude would exacerbate the condition.

If all else fails?
