And Grant is even more so!!!!

Read this bit on the Peterson STOL. It's short, but ya gotta finish it.

http://www.bush-planes.com/Peterson-Wren.html

Cited as an authority on bush planes??? This certainly proves that you can't always trust the internet.:D

Fame is fleeting -- enjoy it while you can...

Anyway, who can trust a "Bush plane" site that doesn't list the Champ?

Oops... found it!

Ok... must be a solid site. Don't let it get to your head. :D

"-Andrew, pilot of a 2009 Piper Matrix that he flies into and out of small, remote, bush strips all the time"

Andrew, did you get to play around with one of those back when you had your 182? Looks like a cool package. I've gotten to play around with a couple of high-horse 182s and they were definite performers. Bolting the 260 hp engine in place of the 235 hp one is a snap, though, since they're both parallel valve 540s. Also saw an older 180 tail dragger with a 300 hp (I think) IO-520 in place of the O-470 that was originally there. Now that thing was a real hoot to fly!

Don't know about the long-term effects of the canard on the front of the airplane, and of course at the end of the day you still have an old 182 airframe gussied up and paid for at new airplane price levels. Still!!

Build a Zenith Ch801 Stol instead....
