Congratulations! Major accomplishment! But never forget that you have now been granted a certificate to continue to learn! (As I am too learning more beyond the checkride. Sorry to be the buzz-kill!) But you’ll continue to learn plenty more as go out and bore more holes in the sky!

Congratulations!

I look forward to hearing about the new plane you’ll buy. The economics are debatable but there is nothing like being able to just climb in and go flying when you feel like it because it’s your plane. Take the time to find the right one for you and you won’t regret it

I started about a month after you so seeing you and @WannFly getting signed off gives me hope and envy :)

I say buy a plane if you can. Are planning on family flying, just you and the wife or mainly just yourself?

Hard to say what will happen, vs what I hope will happen. I think a lot of pilots will attest to that lol.
We have various weight ranges in the family, so that's going to be a juggling act.
Want a RV for 2 seats
Need a 4 seater sometimes
Need a 3 seater a lot of times
to sum it up in one word: dang!

Nothing says buying vs renting is an all or nothing deal. Buy the two seater, rent a four seater for the few occasions you need it.
 
Congratulations! Earning you PPL is one of the greatest accomplishments in life. Very few non-pilots realize the knowledge, skill set and dedication it takes to become a licensed pilot. I would humbly suggest to just enjoy flying for a while before you delve into aircraft ownership. You will have a much better idea of what you want/need as you build up time. Also, fly as many different aircraft as you can as this will make the decision process much easier. Once again, congratulations!

Precisely my intentions good sir.
Only barrier is finding things to rent around here. I've flown everything close, other than a 182 that's in a club..which is expensive, and still a 45 minute drive one way.

But, I guess in a world of many problems, it's one of the better problems to have.
