Ignore list.

Bigger question is why does Mrs 6PC have you on here ignore list :)

Haha!!!
I probably am.

Sometimes I say "Hey come read this thing I wrote" I can see the eyeroll from across the room :goofy:

About once every 2 months, I put the SZ on my ignore list.
But I always come back.

That place is like a sore inside your mouth (not herpes Sac just normal sores). You know you should ignore it but you keep messing with it.

It is a great place to get your post count up if you don't fit a very specific profile. :)

Sorry I had to check in. :)

Rather than hijack Mr. 6PC's thread...

This points out a serious issue with POA. You have no way of knowing who has put you on ignore. Back in the olden days on USENET people would usually at list give you a "plonk" - but that does not seem to be the case here. So, I started this thread for everyone who has me in their ignore list.

If you have me on ignore - please reply to this post so I know.

Would you like to be ignored? I can do that...

Several folks have questioned why someone would use the ignore feature. The reason is simple enough - there are posters who detract from the POA environment. The posters are "intellectual" trolls who make things up just to get a response or self-appointed experts who want to promote themselves or their product in an overbearing manner. There's nothing wrong with shunning those posters. I suppose that in a perfect world the management council would restrict the obnoxious posters but they are just as political as the rest of us and suffer the same failings so at least the individual can ignore the obnoxious by using the ignore feature.

I don't willingly go find a public forum on the Internet to then turn on ignore buttons. Those who do seem quite confused about where and what PoA is.

I don't think anyone is confused about POA, since the vast majority of the site is about aviation, a common ground that we all enjoy. I doubt the ignore feature is used much on the other forums. I suspect the feature is used almost exclusively for dwellers of SZ.

Those who do seem quite confused about where ...PoA is.

I think most of us know where it is. A few may get out occasionally, but SZ is like a black hole that keeps sucking us back in. :D

On my 2015 Christmas list I'm asking for a Super-Ignore feature where I can add people who wouldn't be able to see my posts. :wink2:

I think both of those would be a sign that someone needs to turn SZ back off, which they willingly turned on to begin with, right?

ya don't wanna be wastin' time rebuttin' somebody who ignores you...
True, but that argument won't last long because the person who is ignoring you won't respond! And you'll get the last word.

I apparently put myself on my ignore list ... too many things end up with "what the HELL were you thinking when you did that" that makes it obvious I don't listen to myself anyway ...
