I used the Dauntless test prep for my PPL and scored on the 90's. I am considering an accelerated type program for my IFR and all the ones that I have researched want you to pass the written before signing up. I thought I would use another prep course for the IFR written.

What have you found was the best app or prep program for the IFR written. There are a lot of previous threads so I'm looking for people who took it recently. So far I am looking at the Dauntless and Sheppard ones but would consider any if they have good reviews.

Sheppard Air...hands down.../thread. I don't think much has changed since the last time this question was asked...last week.

I used Dauntless for both PPL and IFR. Since you are familiar with it, i would go with Dauntless again. Passed the IFR writtten with a 97%.

I've had great luck using the Gliem programs,up to and including the ATP

But use whatever you like and works for you.

You can stay abreast of changes in the writtens by going to www.asa2fly.com. www.asa2fly.com/FAA-Knowledge-Exams-W22C162.aspx

Then pay them back by buying their products.

I meant changes as in any new breakthrough test study providers/products. Sheppard Air checks for updates everytime you open the app and they update their stuff 24/7/365. Also, if you see a new question on the exam, remember it and the possible answers and tell Sheppard about it, they will refund you the cost of the test prep software.

They can't update any more frequently than the FAA does, and the FAA updates four times a year. The ASA Update page reflects these changes.

I'm sure there are plenty of good options out there, and guys on here way more knowledgeable than me, I used Gleim, went through the book a few times and practiced all of the questions several times. I took my test last week did alright (93). There were a few questions that I didn't anticipate/were worded a little funny, but all in all, not bad.
