I've been using it for a few weeks and flew this past weekend my iPad and a Android Phone. My son was using it on a Nexus 7, and it was brighter than my iPad Mini with Retina. It was very simple to see, their large buttons and text is great. I think I'll be moving to Android if Apple does not increase the brightness of their screen. It was a big difference. The App was very solid and I had no performance issues or complaints, I think it's much easier to use that other like ForeFlight and FlyQ.
We didn't have much weather, but we were using my son's new Dual 170, and the iFly GPS App shows Weather and Traffic very clear. It even showed the altitude of the traffic and whether they were climbing or descending. Made it very simple to tell if the traffic was of concern at a glance, though they also color code the traffic and give alert sounds and screen messages about the alerts. I was very impressed with how clean, simple and practical it is.
I also like that iFly GPS supports both Android and iPad, as well as working with many of the ADS-B devices. I personally "don't like being told what model I must use", other large companies have taken this approach and I'm not a fan of that tactic. I want the choice and will support those companies the allow me to choose the device that fits my need and budget.
After using my son's Dual, I can see why pilots are getting onboard the ADS-B wagon soon. I'll probably bite the bullet and get the SkyGuardTWX ADS-B with In/Out, for more consistent traffic. At least I know I'll have options with iFly GPS.
