If I were flying across country in a sweet SR22 for the 1st time AND picking up the monkey enroute..

do we have a tail # so we can track her? I mean the monkey?

She's down in KOUN I believe. I will let her post the tail number if she wants.

How do you take pictures if you have to keep one hand on the red handle at all times and the other is holding the Figi water?

poor guy looks like hell.
The RC plane crash took a toll on him.

Get him some touch up paint.

Still at Ozzie's, which is appropriately decorated...

about to head west to KLBB, then kick it for a night before continuing journey.

Ok... leaving KOUN for KLBB. Should be airborne in about 15 min.

Monkey is on the move!

Wow I've missed out, last I remember monkey was at Osh. What's happened since then? Was the monkey in jail, rehab?

Still want the monkey for the Cirrus delivery experience. Send him back to Knoxville for March 22nd please.

I promise there will be a red carpet, blow and whores.

That's where they deliver the chutes. Delivery 22nd followed by 3 days of training and the monkey can then be flown elsewhere

Ahhh man, I was at Ozzie's this morning! That IS a sweet SR22!! I didn't see Cajun tho. :(

We were supposed to fly down to San Antonio this morning to visit Guide Dogs of Texas, but I couldn't find a single weather site that said it was gonna be good there, so I scrubbed that and went to Ozzie's instead.

SO when is the plane expected to be delivered if the chutes get delivered on the 22nd and will there be 3 days training on flying the plane? :D

Mully didn't opt for the plane option. He just ordered the chute w/ an AOA attached. I think he has secret plans to be the first C206 w/ a chute! :yesnod:

Whoa whoa! Cajun is checked out in a Sirrus and flying to TX? Did I miss a thread or something. :(

John and Bryan....

If Cajun is ever going to transport the monkey anywhere near us again, I will fly any airplane in low IMC and deliver you'all there to enjoy her company.

I could not enjoy her company, but I would insure you would be there for the experience.

I was hoping to fly out there. But my schedule just wouldn't allow for it.

It's a shame because it is so darned close. If I had a slightly larger window I could have gotten out there

I'm in!!

You want to know what's lame? Not a single PoAer met me there. Okie had a decent excuse. Whatever. At least the monkey was happy to see me!

First I'm hearing about something in Knoxville... I had plans to get the monkey to Norway. We'll see.

Anyway, I'm exhausted. Long hop from Dayton to Lubbock. Two beers down the hatch, food acquired... going to catch some Zzzs and do more flights tomorrow. This time over to Phoenix. Once in Phoenix, I'll switch planes and head up to Vegas. Given there's a blizzard expecting to hit home Monday, I might be extending my stay. If so, the Monkey and I have plans for a flight over the Grand Canyon.

And for those wondering, yes... we got separate beds.

So what's the back story? Serious XC, Northeast to desert southwest, in a Cirrus. Cool.

Guy in Phoenix bought an SR22 up in Ohio. He asked his CFII, a COPA elite who has been flying them since the dawn of Cirrus, if he would ferry it back for him. I know the CFII through the grapevine and he emailed me a couple weeks back asking if I'd like to join.

Once we get it back to Phoenix, I'll hop in the CFII's personal plane (also an SR22) and get some actual instruction time between there and Vegas (where he lives), then I'll fly back home. If I get stuck there on Monday, though, he promised to give me more left seat time and we'll head over to the grand canyon area.

Are those your stains on the comforter or........?

A great adventure on several levels.

First, you get to go fly, for fun. Score.

Next, you get to experience clear examples of the utility a quick plane can give you, including the sort of amazing way you can take off in a chilly, moist place and land in warmth.

Plus, you get to fly around with a monkey.

We'll, I mean, I wouldn't be able to *enjoy* her company either, (wink, wink), but I would my mind meeting her and seeing the monkey again. :D
