I have been on PoA for a little while and I felt it was always missing regional threads. Something like, Midwest, Southwest, California, Southeast, etc. I like the forum but its also nice to hear stuff happening locally and a lot of times when I read about an event or get together it is on the other side of the Country.

I use Facebook for more local stuff. This is Pilots of AMERICA, after all.

I never post or comment of FB anymore since Zuckerberg called for government regulation of social media. Best avoided.

We have an Arizona focused group on MeWe if anyone is interested.

I get it, and I'm very limited on what I do on Facebook (For example, I tried not friending anyone, but it kept cancelling my account. Now, I'm friends with 2 people, and it seems to be letting me keep the account, use marketplace, belong to local flying groups, etc). BTW, I'm not too worried about the government showing up at my fly-in lunch.

you don't want to hear about our bake sales on the east coast....o_O

When AOPA closed its Red Board a guy named Brian from NY started "The Pilot's Place". It's up to 660+ registered users and has regional subforums.

I don't FB either. I find the GUI convoluted, confusing, and inexplicable. It started as a simple app, then a whole bunch of unrelated **** was bolted on with no coherent design. Just the window design makes my brain hurt, but then, I'm kinda delicate. :)

This should be in Site Feedback and Support. Then the @Pilots Of America Management can take up consideration.
