At the school my daughter goes to, the Mining Engineering students have t-shirts that say "Strip Mines Prevent Forest Fires!"

I like that. Kind of like the one the Colorado School of Mines students were selling back in 1979 - "Ban mining. Let the b#$%^&*s freeze in the dark."

Or "Earth first! We'll log the other planets later."

Or "Earth firsters. America's favorite speed bump."

Both of which I remember seeing in California 20 years ago.

Yeah - she goes to (what used to be called) the Missouri School of Mines. Similar mindset.

I think it is clever. Personally, I never wear a t-shirt with a message, so it wouldn't work for me. I try not to wear anything that makes a statement. I have a hat or two however that break that rule, so it isn't hard and fast.
