Shared A PnP mission to Asheville NC and spent the afternoon at the Sierra Nevada Brewery... $45 ramp fee at Signature... Geeze! Had a great time. Good food and music too... Very bumpy ride and 20K winds at Asheville... but Eman nailed the landing... Have the proof too, but don't know how to post a video on here...

Did the Signature folks at the desk know you were doing a charity flight?

I can't speak for PnP, but they don't charge for Angel Flights.

it was a great day and no one came home with syphilis or dog poo on their shoe. either of those would have sucked. one of the dogs did puke in Leann's crotch, which, since it wasn't my crotch, is actually kinda funny. so, maybe she did get syphilis, I dunno. doesn't dog puke cause syphilis?

anyways, 2 dogs at their new homes, good food and good times.

Crap! We didn't think of that... they might have honored that policy. Last time I was there, about 2 years ago, it didn't cost me a dime. Maybe they had pity on me and my measly skyhawk... Now, if you're in a meaty Lance, they figure you can afford it. The funny thing was when the guy said that we could save $5 if we take some fuel. We could even use self serve... wow, what a deal, eh?

When I was last in AVL a couple months ago on an Angel Flight, the folks there at Signature knew we were an Angel Flight, but somehow I still got a bill in the mail a few days later. A phone call cleared that up.

No, that's a hat I'm gonna have to earn myself. I usually go to San Diego every summer for a conference, but skipping this year.
 
Sierra Nevada is brewed in North Carolina????? Blasphemy. Looks like the appalachians seem to have size envy issue.

You could ask a SW POAer to pick one up for you. I've been itching to go but it will be awhile before I have the time. I need a new one for myself.

Yea I got that. I guess I'm suggesting a "get now pay later" scenario. Also a reason to go to AVX for those of us that are nearby.

Dunno 'bout that. The way I heard it is that you sit down before the other guy gits up. Now I don't really know about this stuff it's all just hearsay at this point.
