That's terrible. Sorry to hear Tom.

Sorry to hear that, Tom. Sincere condolences from Wisconsin. She looks like a real charmer and I bet she had a great life with you and your family.

I'm sorry, Tom. :(

Thanks Everyone. The House is very quite this morning.

What a beautiful dog, such an expressive face.

One of the toughest decisions a person has to make.

Saying goodbye is very hard... but it's worth it for what you get from a good dog, including all the great memories. I hope they bring you comfort.

Tom - so sorry to hear that. My condolences. Cherish the memories.

Aww, geez... I'm sorry to hear it. :frown3:
She looks like a real sweetheart.

Condolences. Wish I could have known her. I think dogs are good people.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Man, first your friend at Skagit County, now your dog!? That's a rough week. My thoughts and condolences are with you and yours, Tom.

Sorry.................... My old Lab may have retrieved his last duck this year.......

This story will bring a tear to those that have a good dog.

Aww, man. I can relate to that story. My black Lab/GS was a man in a dog suit. And he was so frightened of the water he would barely come down onto the back beach. But when Sam took to the water nothing could keep him out. Not a 10' breaking wave, nothing. And he would lead the children home from school every day he wasn't with me. Sam had only friends.

Tom;
I'm sorry for your loss...though I'm more-or-less a CAT person the loss of such a loyal friend leaves a big hole. :frown3:

And keep in mind that though you have lost your best buddy you still have US!:yesnod:

On second thought you may want to invest in another pet...

Chris (who values his pets more than his friends...)

I know how that hurts. We had to put our dog down last December. She was so stiff she couldn't get up, either.

So Sorry, Tom. I have been there and done that. It is like loosing a member of your family, and you are.

Jeez, Tom, that's tough. Belated condolences. Sorry you couldn't have more time with her.
