. . . . on October 26-27th.

So, what should I do while I am out there?

Count down the hours until you leave.

After the first day it will be the minutes!!:yes:
Actually, a buddy and I went to a shoe show out there one night and it was much different than what we expected, the bar was in the building next door. You had to walk through a set of double doors to get a beer, something about not selling alcohol where girls get nekked!
Other than that, I did take a tour of the Citation plant in 1999, it was fun, but you they need to think you're gonna buy one. :D

Sorry to hear that you have to go to Kansas.
It's easy to get to Hutchinson to see the space museum and the underground salt mine museum too.

See if the lineman is still on the line? :D

I have to be in Newton, KS starting 26 Oct.

Do they still speak english in Kansas..??

I was a little worried when my connection to ICT was boarding at the international terminal at Atlanta.

I have family that lives there (outside Witchita, in Hutchinson), so you have my deepest sympathy. That being said, I second the recommendation for the space museum. (Cosmosphere). It really is one of the nicer museums I've been to.

Other than that, I've got nothing. Remember, they put Leavenworth in KS for a reason.....

It's like Iowa, only it's spelled Kansas.

Every time I see the title to this thread I think of someone on her broomstick...

Wichita only has one "T".

I used to go to Wichita every six months for training. We also went there to pick up the airplane and sometimes take it back for maintenance.

Here's another vote for the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson. There's also the Kansas Aviation Museum near McConnell AFB. Wichita has a nice town square area with restaurants and also a riverwalk.

Never heard if flying themselves or commercial but if flying yourself, I really like visiting Stearman Field and while the food ain't something to write about, it isn't bad either. I just like the place.

Another thing you might want to see is the Kansas Aviation museum in the old terminal building at the Airforce base. They are restoring the old staggering that was rotting away in a Hutchinson barn. They also have a restored OX-5 engine that my Grandfather found up in Canada. And the Vornado fan museum in Augusta.

Have fun!

+1 for the aviation museum, really cool to see what a terminal was like in the golden days of air travel.
The Cosmosphere in Hutchinson is one of the best space museums in the country, but 40 minutes away.
If you're staying next to Eisenhower (Mid-Continent), Hangar One Steakhouse is a neat place, lots of aviation memorabilia and the upstairs bar has a view of 19L.
