Got this email today from a friend at EAA.

The casting firm for the next season of ABC's "The Bachelor" is looking for a pilot to be next year's designated hunk-type for the program. They called EAA for help in reaching the pilot population. Sooo, if you know of any young, swarthy pilot who might be interested, fill out the nomination document below and get it to the casting company. You might want to ask the intended victim first.

This was checked out by the folks at EAA and is, in fact, legit.

Well...let's see: 60 year-old; combat vet; turbine and multi time--oops! wrong track.

Hunky--no; tall--no; pay attention to directions from someone that knows nothing about real flying--no.

Naw, I'd never make it in TV; too qualified <g>

I'm out.

How 'bout Lance <vbg>?

Best,

Dave

Funny, this should come up. I've already been nominated. This came in my e-mail Tuesday

We received a phone call this afternoon from Kim Kessler who works for the ABC show “The Bachelor.” This coming season they are looking for a pilot with humanitarian interest as their Bachelor. They asked us to help in the search. After going through our database, we discovered you meet the age requirement. Please see Kim’s note below to see if you meet the additional requirements. If you do and are interested, please contact the office via email or phone.

Thank you for being part of our search group!

We are looking for a good looking guy between the ages of 27-35 who is single, never married, no kids, has a charismatic personality and is looking to settle down with the right woman. This season, my producers are looking for a pilot.

Any help would be so much appreciated!

Thanks!

Kim Kessler
"The Bachelor"

I called the office, and told them to go ahead and submit my info, but I don't know about the good looking part of it to which I was told "Oh we both met you, so that's why we asked." Or something close to that. Oh, and Harley, if ABC likes the picture that they submitted on my behalf, it was one you took when I was there last year.

Of course, further reccommendations wouldn't hurt my cause.

I was ready to go, then I re-read the title ... it said "hunky" not "chunky" :(

Guess that means you won't be needing me to safety pilot for you, since you will have all those good-looking girls to help you out :goofy:

Somehow, I'm not expecting them to find a bunch of ASELs. lol

Only 36,000 women pilots to begin with. Now start carving out all the restrictions set forth in the show. Single, no kids, certain age range... How many are left?

And as Forrest Gump would say, "That's all I have to say about that."

I'd be disappointed if you accepted actually. Reality TV - another reason America is going down the tubes. no pun intended.

Well tell you what. You find me 25 good looking women intent on throwing themselves at me, and I'll decline the offer from the producers if given one.

Bueller? Bueller?

I'll say it for her.....

PIG!

Doesn't matter. He isn't old enough to qualify anyway.

Now, back to the suggestion of Henning.... :D

I'm sure not qualified. Too old, too married, too many kids...

Why do I get the feeling they will end up with a "Maverick" military jet jock for this role? GA need not apply. :(

Naa they couldnt use Jesse anyways. Most girls would be taller than him and could beat him up in no time. He has to have someone that can learn to outsmart him and just barely keep him in line with a whip or two, LOL j/k. Its a good challenge.

Plus, he's too sweet to me to give up that easy. If someone tried, they'd be in a world of hurt, bwahaha. lol

CAT FIGHT!!!!!

The best fights (and the biggest crowds) in junior high were the girl fights.

Oh man, you aint kidding. I remember one in high school where chunks of hair were in clenched fists. Man she kicked my ass.

I wondered where your hair went...

I'm proud to say I was never in a fist fight, although I'm sure if I had to defend someone I'd sure give it a shot.
