If I am going to Sun n Fun this year, I may be conducting a seminar. On the registration form, it asks whether the seminar qualifies for WINGS credit.

No, it doesn't. But it certainly "could".

How do I go about getting a seminar I am presenting to qualify for WINGS credit? Contact the local FAASTeam? Do I need to be a FAASTeam member? Is there a lot of paperwork and approval processes?

No, you don't need to be a FAASTeam member. There are other ways, but the path of least resistance is to contact your local FAASTeam Program Manager. If nothing else they will be able to direct you to someone who can walk you through the process.

One thing that might help is that the seminars fall into categories. So if you can find an existing course covering the same general subject, you'll have a step up.

For a one time presentation I suspect more bureaucracy than you want.

They're pretty liberal with what qualifies. Check with the Sun and fun forum organizer and see if they're doing the wings credit coordination with the FAA Safety Team. It's pretty straightforward. I've given presentations where my attendees received wings credit and I didn't even realize credit was available.

Is the topic creating youtube videos of yourself crashing a Taylorcraft for fun and profit?
