The T8F is a Luscombe with tandem seating. I’ve always wondered, is it at least a bit more comfortable than the side-seat Luscombe?

I don't believe there are that many around, and when found they demand a nice price.

It looks pretty roomy to me. This is T-8F N2202B.

They are super comfy though the back seat can get warm in the summer.

As others have already said in effect, the T8-F puts the pilot in the space previously utilized for two people, so yes they are roomy at least in the front seat. I've never sat in the observers location.

The plane in the Trade-A-Plane advert sat in a hangar at KSEE for a long time, like 10 years, before being sold to the current owner and flown to its current location. The story was that an inexperienced tailwheel pilot under instruction ground looped it in a fairly minor way and then put it away, claiming all the while that the incident was caused by a broken tailwheel spring (IIRC) but never flying it after repair regardless. I saw it fly away when it finally did.

The rear seat appears to be pretty roomy as well.

I know right. Ironically, I was just looking at this very same aircraft! Albeit a different website, though.

It looks like it’d have a bit more room (I think that’s typical of tandem-seat aircraft). I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever flown one or at least sat in one.

I bought the T8F N1822B. And I can tell you it is very spacious. Me and my flight instructor are both some stout guys and he loves flying in the back with the views. And I feel like I’m in a wide fighter plane flying it. It’s been a pure joy. The guy I bought it from flew it three times and had it flown back to be put up for sale. Saying this plane is a young man’s plane. It’s a handful but a lot of fun.
