I figure I have burned over 10,000 gallons of fuel flying, closer to 11,000 gallons.

Current fuel prices at my home airport would put me at $52,500 dollars. Of course fuel was much lower when I started flying. Using an average price of $3.00 per gallon; that puts me at $30,000 to $33,000 dollars.

Is it worth it? Yes...

If weather is good tomorrow add 20 gallons to that.......

How much fuel have you burned?...

A conservative estimate for me is around 3 million gallons.

10,200 hours. 1,000 piston, 4,500 CRJ 200, 400 B727, rest Piaggio.

This year? Or lifetime?

OP wasn't specific

How many dollars have you blown through your vehicles, beginning with that first moped and onward.
DO those numbers and weep.

In round numbers:

C172: 297 x 7.5 = 2,230

C182A: 1,355 x 11 = 14,900

Total = 17,130

Gave up counting years ago, enough to keep me happy and broke.

well...I've not burned nearly enough to even see a carbon foot print.:goofy:

70hrs @ 10gph + 10hrs @ 6gph = 760gal. hahaha

I burn that much in less than 4 hours:lol:

So for a 10 hour flight that would be about 25,000 gallons. About 165,000 pounds, or 5 miles a gallon at 450 mph.

Maybe two tanker trucks if plane is empty.

Am I close with estimates?????

Dunno about the total volume but if'n ya wanna put a load of 82,500# on a tanker yer gonna need a lot of axels and a permit. Max load on a tanker is going to be in the 40,000# to 50,000# range.
