How long before I take a serious look at the mags?

My engine was overhauled 9 years and 1200 hours ago. Jay Honecks recent string of mag issues has me wondering if I need to take a look at my mags soon?

Without a benefit of any experience, I suggest you to buy Dan MacDonald's book If you haven't already. If nothing else, it's a food for thought. He is a big fan of IRAN, which probably comes with flying a small fleet of Beeches (he runs a Skipper for the school and owns a Bonanza). I found the chapter on magnetos quite edifying.
