How do you carry mogas to your plane?

I've always admired Jay's Mighty Grape over the years, but this is the setup I came up with. It's a 12v transfer pump + inline filter mounted to a Harbor Freight tool cart. It's powered by a 12v car battery, and I connect it to my trickle charger while out flying.

I use metal 5 gallon Blitz cans. Drop the pickup tube in to the can, connect a bonding clip to the can + aircraft, and fill. I take the cans home with me, and fill them up when I plan to fly next.

Been running autogas exclusively since ~2003 or so.

Keep in mind when sizing a tank that mogas become stale quickly. Be especially careful with leftover winter blend fuel when it gets hot.

Full ack. Especially with fuel containing ethanol. "normal" mogas normally lasts long enough to not cause problems (6 months is usually not a big problem for alcohol-free fuel).

If you fly on a regular basis this should not give you any headache. We fly our Cherokee Warrior almost only on mogas (our field has a mogas pump)... no real problems.
