Got this in an email today... funny...

As requested, a British Royal Air Force pilot flies up to the back door
of a C-130 (Hercules) in a Eurofighter Typhoon for a photo opportunity.

He radios, "How much closer do you want me?"

see image1

They radio, "How much closer can you get?"

see image2 thru image5

Pilot radio, ”Close enough?”

Those guys (both the C-130, and Typhoon pilots) are sh*t hot!

I'm gonna claim "photoshopped."

has to be.. think about how much air is getting sucked into the inlets of that thing

I'm gonna claim "photoshopped."

Why is everything not point and shoot junk considered photoshop nowadays?

A zoom lens will do exactly what that picture is with no editing at all while it's still in the camera.

Really? It will take a rounded intake and flatten the bottom?

Take a second look at the last photo and I think you'll see that the flat bottom is actually the floor of the C-130.

Hmm... I see what you mean. sort of.

That's what happens to a round shaped object in the background when a straight edged foreground object gets in the way.

Stand back about 15-20 feet into the plane where it's safe with a long lens, fill the frame with airplane and push the shutter button. Done. It takes all of about 1/200th of a second, not 4 hours of photoshop nonsense.

"Too close for missiles. Switching to guns."

"Too close for guns. Switching to pistols."

This guy even got his gear down....

No need for zoom even, and that is not a strong telephoto considering the scale of the arm in the foreground, I doubt it's over 70MM, and I don't think it's shopped. I think he eased right up her a$$. The only thing I though was "Between a C-130 making it's normal racket at that f-er sitting there screaming, that had to be noisy as hell."

Definitely a long lens--Look at how much closer the clouds in the background seem in the last two pictures.
