How 3D glasses helped defeat Hiltler

Buderi mentioned something similar in his book "the Invention that Changed the World". They were looking for German radar installations and found them in the same fashion as described in Steingar's post.

The book is about the Radiation Laboratory scientists and engineers and how their knowledge of radar generated useful inventions after WWII.

Neat. I used 3D viewers of the same sort in a geology class. It was amazing when your eyes got it and the photos 'popped'
