Subject: Seeking Guidance and Assistance to Resolve HIMS Program Issue
Dear [Recipient],
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek guidance and support regarding my ongoing participation in the HIMS program, which I have been part of since 2020. Throughout this period, I have diligently completed all the required random tests and transitioned to EGT, with only one issue—a false positive in June last year. I immediately submitted all the necessary paperwork to address this, as requested by the authorities.
Unfortunately, I am facing challenges with my HIMS AME, who seems more focused on conducting random checks than providing helpful guidance on how to move forward. Despite my efforts to comply with all requirements, the FAA has informed me that my case remains under REVIEW with no further updates since last year June 2023. I find myself at a standstill and am struggling to find a clear path toward resolution.
As a dedicated pilot holding an FAA ATPL,TCCA ATPL with B777 and CL-65 type ratings, and recently having obtained a Canadian ATPL, I am eager to return to flying. However, the process of securing a work permit for Canada has been slow, and I am open to flying opportunities anywhere, despite my limited experience with prop engines. Using my Canadian ATPl.
This prolonged uncertainty has begun to affect my financial stability, and I am contemplating a temporary career shift just to make ends meet.I hold a Bachelor's Degree, USAF Veteran.
Would greatly appreciate any advice or direction on how I can resolve this situation with the FAA or if there are alternative avenues I can explore to expedite the process.or flying opportunities abroad, Middle East requirements of 120 hours in 12 months kicks me out.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Any assistance or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.
Kind regards sirmuriuki33@gmail.com
