Highlander dead stick Take off, flight, & Landing

That is very cool. How is the Build comming along Dave?

We're finishing painting the Highlander STOL amphibion in Ag Cat yellow and installing the floats this week. Even bought myself a new 2nd class medical to go with it today.

I don't know about that one's registration for sure. Highlanders can go LSA or Experimental, depending on weight and some other things.

The video is really great. I do not know much about the Higlander. What engine is normally used with them? Also are they difficult to build or is there a possible "Quick build Kit? The Hilander looks like a lot of fun.

I am glad the fellow flighing did not hit the rock on his dead stick TO.

Thank you

John, yes there's a quick build wing and with a standard engine like the Rotax @ 80 to 115 HP and a no frills tri gear or tail dragger configuration, first time builders are completing in the 500 hour range. It's not hard when one uses the Just Aircraft builder's forum on the Wings Forum Index.

Dave;

Thank you for the your note. I will definately look into. Just from the video I can see the plane is robust for grass which I really like. Where I live there are quite a few small grass strips. Thanks again
