Highest altimeter setting

The massive high pressure sitting in the middle of the US had my home airport reporting 30.74 today, which is the highest I remember in a while. Got me to thinking, what is the highest altimeter setting you’ve ever flown?

31 is usually when flights are cancelled if i recall correctly. Today was 3050 in jax.

I have seen over 31.00 inches. We flew in it. Just another day at the office.

The procedure was to set the altimeter at 31.00 inches and fly normal altitudes below 18,000. Over 18,000 set the altimeter as normal, 29.92. Make the altitude adjustment in your head on landings.

I am not cool enough to have seen 31". Only somewhere around 30.8x. But it sure was a nice cool clear day!

Very interesting... never crossed my mind but apparently there is FAR 91.144 and 7-2-2 in the AIM regarding this stuff...

30.41 here today. Quite a bit higher than the norm.

Me either. It was the lows that concerned me more, like hurricane lows.

The lowest I’ve ever flown in was like 29.40 iirc. The highest was 30.75. Neither one seemed too remarkable to me at the time as things flew like I expected. The only thing that made me remember each was how long it took to spin the knob to gets the kollsman window set.
