Help me understand wing loading

, sounds like "wing loading" is just an engineer's way of saying that if your plane is heavy, you have a higher wing load. Light? Less wing load.

Yup, or less wing will make a higher wing loading.

Yes, they are real airplanes and they did fly. Wouldn't get me into either of them.
