Headset A: Works fine for rx, intercom works fine in that if I talk to myself, the sidetone is good. When I key the mic to tx, though, the sidetone goes nutty (moderate volume whooshing/white noise) for a moment until I begin speaking, and then eventually damps down and becomes normal. Same behavior if plugged into the right seat jacks. Same behavior if I unplug the ANR box. ATC can read me loud and clear.

Headset B does not exhibit this symptom in the same airplane.

I will be able to test both at the same time this weekend with a passenger.

It feels like something is floating. I'm not sure why the sidetone would work fine for intercom but not when I key the mic.

I had a similar thing with the first set of ANR Lightspeeds I had, they traded them for another set and the problem went away. They never said what was wrong.:dunno:

That may be a grounding problem on the main board inside. I would advise as iHenning already did and give the mfg a call.
