Have you had a ramp check??

There's really not a "credit" system in place, and depending on your work program it could actually go against you if you're not careful.

yer right, no "X"s no job.

How would you go about inspecting the air box system. Or say you want to do a flight control inspection, how do you perform that?

Why would an Inspector be doing those functions on a ramp inspection?

Here is the link to what is required on a Part 91 Ramp Inspection. Please read it and then try to tell me once again why an airship is so different that the average Inspector can't perform this inspection.

Still doesn't seem that they can do their job. Is a compass card not something that should stick out right away?

Once, got asked for my A&P while troubleshooting a charging system.

Offered to show it to him but it wasn't the cert I was working under, and that the repair station cert was framed on the wall in the lobby and the roster was in the office.

-Blank stare

"Oh.."

And Mr. FAA wandered off down the ramp

So let me get this straight, you wanted them to ding you on a missing compass card??

Again, please tell us what is so special about an airship that prevents an average Inspector from performing a ramp inspection on one.

Half the inspectors don't know repair station rules, As demonstrated on this page.

Ops guy, the guys who know how to check out a repair station all know me and don't bother.
