Halloween drunks

So, you would be OK with them never being available to you, should you ever need them?

And you would be ok with disbanding them, in your town?
Without diversity you don't need a whole lot of police. How long has Murica been round? How long has Murica had stormtrooper tax collectors on every corner? The lack of police will not make middle class muricans go wilding, nor does the presence of police stop populations from going wilding.

I won't go so far as to say I don't support them. It's a **** job and has nothing to do with solving crimes anymore.

Did laugh when a thief stole two AR-15s right out of two cop cars in Denver. Funny how the rest of the responsible folk lock those up, in vehicles. Or don't leave them unattended.

You know what I did last night? I rode the motorbike to the bar, had five beers, rode to the restaurant for some seafood and maybe ten more beers, rode home and went to sleep. Just like everyone else around here. Nobody cares. I'm in Southeast Asia.

"But Sac, you're in a communist county over there, how can you be free?"

Communist? This place isn't even CLOSE to the socialistic police state the US has become. How did we get that way, and who thought it was a good idea?

That's the thing, everytime I NEEDED them, they have completely failed.

If someone breaks into your home to hurt you, tries to car jack you, assault you, rob you, 95% of the time police are going to arrive after the damage has been done to take a few crime scene photos, write a report and call the meat wagon.

You are the only one who will be in a position to protect you and yours.

Fascinating.

I was on the roads about 11pm last night and gawddamn there were a lot of drunk drivers out. Or at least it seemed so.

Drivers seemed even worse than other holidays. Glad the horn in my car works well and I was paying attention!

It's hard to see out of those plastic masks with the tiny eye holes.

Given the number of consent decrees, "mistaken" shootings, shakedowns, and general uselessness of police in general and LA in particular- I figure the criminals are slightly less dangerous to the population as a whole than the LEO's and nanny-state laws.

In other words- yes, moderate anarchy would be preferable to the police departments that now exist.

They are for the most part useless. But they are really good at sitting up in the median on the 'pike looking for expired emissions stickers.

And yet the government has been doing everything in their power to make citizens incapable of defending themselves and politically persecuting people who find themselves in the unfortunate position of doing so..

We would have a whole lot more than moderate anarchy if we dispensed the police departments. Some people say we have moderate anarchy now.

I bet they do a lot of stuff we don't see on a day to day basis that most of us would rather not have to deal with.

I am not a cop and no little about their work but I suspect the majority of their work is dealing with riffraff that doesn't make the news and most of us would probably rather it gets left to a professional.

Total speculation.

Mostly due to the police departments in places outside the city center.

There are good police departments, and good officers; but on the whole the average SoCal dweller is at greater risk of property crimes from or being shot by police under official cover than by the criminals- even more so if you assume the police would be replaced by block associations and responsible carry.

Ref: Rialto PD, newspaper delivery shooting, consent decrees, etc...

Pffft. Without the police all the fat middle aged white guys in my suburban neighborhood would go crazy?:rolleyes2: Raping, shooting, burning stuff?:rolleyes2: Just like they did in this town for the last 300 years pre-stormtropers.:rolleyes2:
The no cops argument gets NonPC quick, lets just say 'cultural relativism' is a bogus idea. Some places would be fine without any cops and some places would be just as dangerous as they are now, and you'd only go to those places when you couldn't find your local dealer. ;)

My only Halloween complaint was that many of my neighbors chose not to give out candy. Because of this, the number of kids at our door was down this year.

Back to the drunk drivers and thug police state responses.

It should not be considered murder if you kill a drunk driver! Actually, you should be rewarded.

Why speculate? Fully support the new movements to equip them with full time video and legal pushes to make that video ALWAYS accessible to the public.

What if you kill Grannie, who's a bigger hazard than the drunk driver? What about the 16 year old texting her BFF? Do we get extra points for that?

Your response it's typical and I counter with "Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience."

Why? Because it's socially acceptable to kill drunks even though there's other demographics that are statistically as bad or worse? But hey, if it's easier to attack me, then carry on.

Yup. Old people vote and often have money we ain't going to vilify them. Heck they even vilified Santa for running over a granny.

Coming from a long line of drunks and having been hit by one I say lock em up, even if they are my relatives. And no I will not bail them out.
